Welcome to the GMB R62 Rotherham General Branch Website.

We hope this site gives you easy access to all the branch's benefits and services, so whether you are an existing member, or would like to join the GMB, you will find everything you need.

General Information

The R62 branch of the GMB covers the whole of RMBC no matter what you do.

Many members join us because they suffer bullying and harassment at work, poor safety, or discrimination. As a GMB member, you will be able to access services such as:

• representation at grievances
• disciplinary hearings
• negotiations on your pay and conditions at work
• health and safety

Our union has a proud history of supporting working people, and we constantly look for new ways to improve our services and benefits to ensure that we continue to provide the best service possible. The GMB has over 118 years experience in successfully representing our members in all aspects of their employment.

Our Track Record

The GMB is Britain’s General Union, with 120 years experience of representing workers dealing with bullying and/or harassment at work, poor health, safety and welfare facilities at work and discrimination. We represent members who work for local authorities and in schools as non-teaching staff, contractors, private companies like Asda and Nestle, GSL, G4S and Southern Cross care homes as well as in utilities such as gas, water, electricity and the NHS.
